About Us

For our family the craft of making Maple Syrup starts with a love for our trees, which our family meticulously cares for. Our Maple Sugar Bush rests on sloping hills extending down to the shores of an inland spring fed lake just minutes away from the great waters of Lake Huron. These Maple trees are deeply rooted into a rich Clay Loam Soil on a Glacial till base. This mature forest which is hundreds of years old stands tall above the Trilliums, Ferns and White Tail Deer below. These conditions are what allow us to sustainably produce some of the best tasting, rich and full flavoured Maple Syrup in the world. Our harvested sap is slowly boiled down to syrup using a traditional wood fired evaporator allowing time for the syrup to properly metabolize under heat for maximum richness and maple flavour. From the sweet sap which flows from the trees in the springtime to the final delicious syrup in elegant glass bottles, our product is filtered multiple times removing all unwanted flavours and sediments, leaving you with an untainted, pure and unforgettable taste. This sweet and robust Maple Syrup is bottled in the finest high quality glass which offers an outstanding presentation while being recyclable, environmentally friendly and leaving no unwanted tastes in the syrup. Our Maple Syrup is 100% Canadian Grade A Syrup sourced only from our farm with no artificial flavours, additives or preservatives. We hope you'll love our products as much as we enjoy making them!

A sincere thank you from the Thomas Family!

Meet the Family

Bill Thomas

Owner of Thomas Family Farm along with his wife Roslyn. Bill is the primary Sugar Maker and sugar bush maintainer. Spending time with his family and enjoying the outdoors are among his favourite activities.

Roslyn Thomas

Owner of Thomas Family Farm along with her husband Bill. Roslyn is involved in the final processing of maple products, packaging and distribution. She is a very involved mother and Director of Social Affairs at the farm.

Liam Thomas

A son to Bill and Roz, Liam has been participating in making maple syrup since birth. As soon as he was able to swing a hammer, he was happily pounding away on his dads frozen fingers trying to tap spiles into trees. Liam has been getting increasingly involved in the business and plans to install his own mainline this year so he doesn't have to collect buckets anymore! This will give him more time to focus on playing LEGO.

Brianna Thomas

A Daughter to Bill and Roz, Brianna has also been participating in making maple syrup since birth. She loves being outside and never misses an opportunity to taste test the final products! Last season, at just three years old she had 8 of her own sap pails to manage, with the help of mom, of course! If there was a playground in the sugarbush, she'd likely never leave!

Daisy Thomas

The fearless farm cat of Thomas Family Farm, Daisy is responsible for the control of varmints. Standing strong through the tests of time, She is always eager to greet new guests, who might pet her. Although Daisy has no direct responsibility for the Sugar making process, she is always nearby providing moral support by continuously meowing her head off.
